About SipòSiko

Psychological support that is accessible, human and inclusive.

SipòSiko is committed to offering accessible, human and inclusive psychological support to promote everyone’s mental health.

Mission

Our mission is to promote mental health through awareness, prevention and psychosocial activities.

We are committed to breaking the taboos around mental health by creating safe, accessible spaces where everyone can speak, learn and be supported.

Our vision
“We dream of a society where mental health is recognized, respected and supported — a society where no one is left behind because of stigma, discrimination or a lack of resources.”

Goals

What we do, together.

Support group: four people talking, seated in a circle
  1. 01

    Inform and raise awareness

About the issues, prejudices and stereotypes surrounding mental health, through multilingual educational content (posts, videos, podcasts, etc.).

  2. 02

    Mobilize

Build a mutual-support community by involving young people, families and community leaders.

  3. 03

    Open up access

To mental health services, by offering first-line support: support groups, psychotherapy, recreational activities, or referrals to professionals.

  4. 04

    Collaborate

Actively with mental health professionals, institutions and local communities to strengthen our collective impact.

Values and principles

Mental health concerns all of us.

Empathy and non-judgment
Everyone deserves to be listened to, understood and supported, without feeling judged.
Accessibility
Mental health is a fundamental right for all, regardless of social, geographic or economic status.
Dignity
We value each person in their uniqueness and complexity.
Solidarity
Mental health concerns all of us. Let’s build a supportive community together.
Professionalism
Our work relies on scientifically validated, ethical and appropriate psychological and psychosocial approaches.
Confidentiality
Respect for privacy and the protection of personal information are at the heart of our commitment.

Who we serve

Every experience is unique and deserves to be heard.

We mainly reach young people (ages 16 to 35), through field activities and across social media.

Without comparison or judgment, we warmly encourage anyone — whatever their path, their story or the nature of their suffering — to take part in our activities. Our spaces are designed to be caring, inclusive and accessible to all, so that everyone can find a listening ear, support and tools to move forward.

  • Women and girls who have experienced psychological, sexual, economic or social violence
  • Community actors (teachers, leaders, health workers) who want to get trained and involved in mental health initiatives
  • Loved ones of people living with mental disorders who want to better understand and support them
